Why You NEED to Make the Switch to Natural Deodorant
First and Foremost, Aluminum Can Cause Cancer.
Our founder, Annabell, was just 26 years old when she was diagnosed with Stage 3 Breast Cancer that started in her armpit (from daily use of antiperspirant) and ended up in her right breast. Aluminum based compounds are used to plug our sweat ducts, as they act as the active ingredient in most antiperspirants. According to The National Cancer Institute (2016), "aluminum-containing underarm antiperspirants .... may be absorbed by the skin and have estrogen-like (hormonal) effects". Since estrogen can aid in the growth of breast cancer cells, it has been suggested by some scientists that the aluminum-based compounds is related to the development of breast cancer, and may have direct activity in breast tissue. Aluminum can also be associated with some bone diseases and impaired motor functions.
On May 5th, 2017, a bill to ban aluminum salts used in antiperspirants was approved and Switzerland became the first country to ban the compound. In Europe, over 300 chemicals are banned for topical use, while the United States only has about 30 banned. It is very evident that profit is more important in our country than our people's health. The United States and every other country needs to follow in these footsteps. We NEED to sweat! There is no reason to have a chemical that prevents it when the results can lead to a deadly disease. Sweating is GOOD
We sweat for a reason, and that is to get rid of the toxins in our body. They can only get out so many ways, and when they are trapped our bodies reap the consequences. According to Dr. Morrison from Held (2016) "Fat is a storage for both calories and toxins .... If the fat gets overloaded [with toxins], then people start noticing problems, like skin issues, circulation issues, the metabolism starts shutting down. There's only so much the liver and kidneys can grab and package. If there's more coming in, then the body has to manage it. That's when [it] starts trying to sweat things out." Long story short, if you're not getting your toxins out naturally, they are going to build up and your skin and bodily systems will begin to show for it.

Wet your fingertips before grabbing the deodorant and it will quickly rub right in.

If your deodorant dries up, just add a few drops of water and mix, and you can continue using it! We don't use binding agents or parabens so occasionally if a natural product gets dry, the simplest solution is a small amount of water or oil.
